Here are the supplies I used:
Simple Stories Papers (Summer Fresh and Documented)
Magnetic Canvas
Magnetic Strips
Picture Frame(no glass or backing)
Wall Paint
Rustoleum Magnetic Primer
Maya Road Chipboard Banner
Clothespins
Kerri Bradford SVG file
Eclips Machine
Wood Letters(MENU)
Avery Labels
I started the project by measuring and tapeing off the size of the Picture frame.
Next I rolled on 3 coats of Rustoleum Magnetic Primer, make sure you roll on 3 light coats for best results. And this stuff really stinks so use proper ventilation. After the primer dried throughly I rolled on 2 coats of wall paint. When the wall paint was dry, I added the frame and the wood letters.
Now it is time to cut the pieces for the Menu. I cut seven pieces of assorted Simple Stories papers and Magnetic Canvas at 3.5x4.5 inches. I also cut 6 strips of paper at 1x12 inches for (2) Magnetic Strips that are approximately 26" long. I adhered all the papers I cut to the Magnetic Canvas and Magnetic Strips. I just used my tape runner to adhere them. I covered the 4 banner pieces with Simple Stories Documented, and on one of the banner pieces I added some Simple Stories Summer Fresh elements.
I used my Eclips machine to cut the days of the week out, I used a SVG file by Kerri Bradford. I also printed several labels of meals my family likes to eat, I also put the labels on the Magnetic Canvas. I put the rest of the labels on the freezer. I attached the clothespins to the banners.
On the freezer I have several labels with different meals, as we use up the meal I take the label off the freezer so I know I need to make more of it. I am hoping that this will help with knowing whats in the freezer, and by looking at the Menu I will know what to pull out of the freezer the night before. I also printed some labels that say "Out to Eat" and "Camping" in hopes that I won't have to cook everyday! I am going to use the clothespins to hold grocery lists and to do notes.
I made a little recipe holder with a Simple Stories Memorbillia pocket, to hold all the receipes for the meals.
I hope you enjoyed my post, off to do some more organizing! Kellie
